Mountains in Flight
Mountains are always flying–
Usually away from us
When they’re not falling
On us. They exit
Stage right, sketchy forms
That elude us as they flee the Sun.
Meanwhile the Sun covers
Her eyes. Burned trees descend
Toward the plain.
